The PublishNews Awards 2021 will pay a special tribute at its ceremony this May 25 to Carlo Carrenho, the man who founded PublishNews in Brazil. An economist with a degree from USP, specializing in book and magazine publishing at the Radcliffe Publishing Course in Cambridge (USA), he loves books but fell in love with the processes of the publishing market. This predilection led him to the visionary project of a news and analysis website about the world of publishing and bookstores.

Los Premios PublishNews 2021 rendirán un homenaje especial en su ceremonia, mañana día 25: será para Carlo Carrenho, el hombre que fundó PublishNews en Brasil. Economista licenciado por la USP, especializado en la edición de libros y revistas en el Radcliffe Publishing Course de Cambridge (EE.UU.), dice que le encantan los libros, pero que se enamoró realmente de los procesos del mercado editorial. Esta predilección le llevó al visionario proyecto de una web de noticias y análisis sobre el mundo de la edición y las librerías.

Recibir el trofeo a la Contribución al Mercado Editorial es un reconocimiento al éxito de este proyecto y también a una actuación dinámica que ha llevado a Carrenho a trabajar, dar conferencias y debatir en países como Estados Unidos, Alemania, Suecia, China, Sudáfrica, Inglaterra y Emiratos Árabes Unidos, entre otros.
