Registration open for the new edition of the New Spanish Books 2023 Translation Rights Sale Plan
The registration period will be open until April 4, 2023.
ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones is calling for a new edition of the ‘New Spanish Books‘ project and invites interested Spanish agents and publishers to participate in it. The project aims to sell translation rights of Spanish publishers and literary agents in foreign markets through Internet portals in Germany, Brazil, the United States, France, Japan, and the United Kingdom aimed at foreign publishing professionals. The registration period will be open until April 4, 2023.
The New Spanish Books portals include all participating books and their information sheets. In addition, in each of the countries, a group of independent experts, made up of translators, booksellers, publishers, and critics of recognized prestige and coordinated by ICEX’s Spanish Economic and Commercial Offices abroad, makes a selection of the 10-20 titles it considers most suitable for the market in question.
For each of the countries, books in the genres indicated in the «How to Participate» section will be accepted. The publication of the portals for the 2023 edition will take place in September. This selection will be published on the home page of each of the portals: www.newspanishbooks.de; www.newspanishbooks.us; www.newspanishbooks.fr; www.newspanishbooks.jp; www.newspanishbooks.com; www.newspanishbooks.br.com.
To expand the reach of New Spanish Books this publication will be distributed in physical format on a customized basis to publishers and agents in Norway, Finland, Italy, Holland, Poland, and Korea as well as in electronic format to publishers in all non-Spanish speaking countries.
All participating companies, even if they have participated in previous editions, will have to create a new account using the company’s VAT number as a user.
