
Registration open for the 33rd International Publishers Congress

The 33rd International Publishers Congress will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from November 10-12 under the theme «Reading Matters: Embracing the Future».
The International Publishers Association has confirmed details of its upcoming 33rd International Publishers Congress, with a full program of two days of discussions, as well as a gala dinner and awards ceremony. The congress will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from November 10-12 under the theme Reading Matters: Embracing the Future. For the first time, the event will be free of charge and delegates will be offered a range of competitive accommodation packages.
Free registration for the 33rd International Publishers Congress is now available.
The program includes keynote addresses by World Intellectual Property Organization Director General Daren Tang and award-winning Japanese author Natsuo Kirino. Speakers include Jesús Badenes (Grupo Planeta), Gabriella Page-Fort (HarperOne) and Adi Ekatama (Gramedia).
Panel discussions will cover a wide range of topics, from artificial intelligence to the impact of technology on the freedom to publish. Other topics to be covered include sustainability in publishing, diversity, inclusion, and the power of translations. The gala dinner will include the IPA Voltaire Prize 2022 ceremony.
Jakarta will become a hub for the book industry during the congress week, with two other publishing-related events taking place at the same time: the Indonesia International Book Fair and Jakarta Content Week, JakTent.
