Readmagine 2021: new business models for post-pandemic growth
Today marks the culmination of the celebration in Madrid of Readmagine 2021: the week of Digital Innovation in Reading, Books, and Libraries organized by the Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez (FGSR) at its center in Madrid: Casa del Lector.
Readmagine consists of a series of conversations, workshops, conferences, meetings, and other formats for the exchange of ideas around the process of transformation of reading and books.
This week related to digital innovation was organized for the first time in 2005, and since that first edition has always hosted meetings between publishing and digital, urbanism, sociology, fashion, marketing, video games, and other fields of action. With this approach, the FGSR seeks to promote learning at the frontiers as a means of innovation.
At Publishnews we are attending the talks scheduled for these three days (16, 17, and 18) in Madrid, in which we are conversing on topics including new politics in Europe, market knowledge, behavioral trends and new business models, the functioning and well-being (or discomfort) of bookstores, the impact that the socio-health crisis has had in 202o and extends to the present day, digital transformation, new skills, and accessibility.
In this new annual event, the main theme is to make proposals for a European convergence in book and reading policies. At the same time, new business models to grow in the post-pandemic presented.
