What are New Spanish Books?

In addition, in each of the countries, a group of independent experts made up of translators, booksellers, publishers, and critics of recognized prestige and coordinated by our Spanish economic and commercial offices abroad selects 10 to 20 titles it considers most suitable for the market in question.
Each of the selected books will be published together with a reading report.
In 2022, as in 2020 and 2021, and on the occasion of Spain’s election as a guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2022 NSB Germany is strengthened by selecting a total of 25-30 books in two different selection panels:
- Novel and non-fiction (essay, leisure, and gastronomy).
- Children’s / young adult and comics
The selection will be exhibited in the New Spanish Books space at the Frankfurt Book Fair, where the compilation publication detailed below will also be distributed.
A compilation publication will be published in paper and electronic format with information on the selected books in the six markets. For each book, the publications will include the information contained in the fact sheet and a summary of the reading report. To extend the reach of New Spanish Books this publication will be distributed, in addition to the Frankfurt Book Fair, on a one-to-one basis to publishers and agents in Norway, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, and Korea.
