393 entities have committed to the development of the audio industry in the Spanish-language markets

In the last five years, especially as a result of the pandemic situation, we have witnessed how the consumption of audio content in Spanish has skyrocketed around the world. This is clear from the first Map of the Spanish audio industry conducted by dosdoce.com, a platform specializing in trends in the digital economy, which has detected 393 entities have made a firm commitment to the development of the new audio industry in Spanish-language markets (Latin America, Spain, and the US Hispanic market) during the last five years.

Italy starts its most literary week in Paris

The Italian book sector will be doubly represented from April 17 to 23 in Paris for two reasons. The Madrid Book Fair, one step away from being declared BIC

The Community of Madrid proceeded last March 9 to initiate proceedings to declare the Madrid Book Fair BIC (Bien de Interés Cultural). As part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the region, it may receive such consideration in the category of Cultural Fact and its subsequent registration in the Register of Assets of Cultural Interest, in accordance with the provisions of Article 3.4 of Law 3/2013, of June 18, of Historical Heritage of the Community of Madrid.

The bookstore from inside: Pergamo

The Pérgamo bookstore in Madrid announced its closure in December 2021. But just one day before the closure of the business, as if by a miracle, a businessman appeared on the premises: Pergamo had been a place of reference for him since his childhood and he could not conceive of its closure, so he communicated to the sisters his intention to continue with his legacy. Nearly 400 entities make up the new Spanish Audio Industry Ecosystem

In just five years, 393 entities have firmly committed to the development of the new audio industry in Spanish-language markets (Spain, Latin America, and the US Hispanic market), according to the first “Map of the Spanish Audio Industry Ecosystem” created by Dosdoce.com, a platform specializing in trends in the digital economy.   The nearly 400 entities that represent this new industry have created more than 100,000 podcasts and nearly 25,000 audiobooks in Spanish, among other formats, compared to the scarce audio content in Spanish only a few years ago.
